Hi, my name is Evans. With the help of family and friends, I was able to make an effort to help the citizens of Haiti after a major earthquake hit the capitol. The quake lasted 36 seconds and flattened Port-Au-Prince. I traveled alone with over 100 lbs of medical supplies and was not affiliated with any relief organization. I flew into DR, Santo Domingo and caught a ride to the border. I then walked into Haiti. With the help of “Junior”, I was able to travel through the city and converse with the devastated population. I administered medical aid to the remote areas of the city where help had not yet arrived. Once I ran out of supplies I returned home via a military flight. This is my entire 7 day trip condensed into several minutes.
